Sounds like the gauntlet is being thrown down, TNG fans. Whose side are you on?The film opens with a 007-like mini-adventure where we see Commander Kirk resisting being taken over by a certain familiar technological race. When asked how he was able to fight off the cybernetic implants, Kirk responds by saying “Only a Frenchman wouldn’t be able to beat those robots,” while winking at the plucky Lt Jean-Pierre Picard.

If there’s any truth to that, it suggests a lot of things, doesn’t it?
Honestly now, you would have to figure that the film industry is probably getting pretty good at creating disinformation. The CIA’s been around for over 50 years, and I think all you’d need to do is read The New York Times consistently to get an idea how do to some of that stuff …
