This exclusive behind-the-scenes render shows Zoe Saldana wearing the latest technological upgrade to Star Trek. Gone is the oversized earpiece worn by Nichelle Nichols in the original series, replaced with a holographic projector that will display up-to-the-minute information in a manner emulating the “Heads-Up” display being used in today’s fighters! Can’t wait to see it in action!

They need to leave it alone now. Berman, et. al., have effectively ruined the franchise.
The original wasn’t about the technology, it was about the people and the stories. Berman and company (Abrams, etc.) have turned it into formulaic rubbish.
